Chairman / Overseer

Dear Potential Chairman,

I am writing to you today to share an exciting leadership opportunity with Seas of Life Missions Kenya (SOLMK). For the past 15 years, we have been dedicated to reaching and teaching the youth of Kenya about Jesus Christ. Based near Kisumu City, our ministry has grown to 20 branches and is a registered non-profit organization with a proven track record of transforming young lives holistically.

As I approach my 70th year, I am seeking a passionate and capable leader (or couple) to take over as chair of SOLMK. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of young people in Kenya.

We are looking for someone who:
·       Loves Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

·       Has a passion for youth ministry, including teens, young adults, and children

·       Feels called to serve in Africa, specifically Kenya

·       Possesses strong leadership skills, strategic vision, and the ability to inspire and motivate a team.

·       Is open to living in Kenya, where the cost of living is affordable, and the climate is appealing.

·       Is savvy to western ways to access donors and other financial support.

As chair of SOLMK, you will:

·       Provide overall leadership and direction for the ministry.

·       Enhance the strategies of our centres to maximize their impact.

·       Develop and implement new initiatives to reach more young people.

·       Oversee the financial management and fundraising efforts of the organization.

·       Mentor and support our dedicated team of leaders and Leaders in Training (LITs).
I am prepared to transition into a supportive role, such as leadership mentor or networker for financial support, to ensure a smooth handover. If you know of anyone who might be a good fit for this role, I would be grateful if you would share this opportunity with them.
