Youth Pastor
The Youth Ministry Leader is responsible for overseeing and implementing our church’s
youth ministry program. This role involves planning and leading age-appropriate Bible
studies, Sunday School classes, and other youth activities. It will require having a
passion for working with youth and a strong commitment to Christian values.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Spiritual Leadership
- Preaching and Teaching: Delivering age-appropriate sermons/Bible studies.
- Discipleship: Mentoring and discipling young people to grow in their faith and
relationship with Christ. - Spiritual Growth: Leading small groups and prayer meetings.
- Evangelism: Training and sharing the gospel with non-believers.
- Program Development and Implementation
- Planning and Organizing: Developing and implementing engaging youth programs, such
as group retreats and events. - Event Coordination: Organizing special events like camps, conferences, and mission
trips.

- Creating and adapting age-appropriate curriculum.
- Volunteer Recruitment and Training: Recruiting and training volunteers to assist in youth
ministry.
- Pastoral Care
- Counseling: Providing pastoral counseling and support to youth.
- Mentoring: Building relationships with youth and offering guidance.
- Crisis Response: Responding to the needs of youth in crisis situations.
- Family Ministry: Working with parents to support the spiritual growth of their children.
- Administrative Duties
- Budgeting: Managing the youth ministry budget.
- Reporting: Providing regular reports to the pastor and attending staff meetings as
scheduled. - Communication: Maintaining communication with parents and youth.
- Facility Management: Overseeing the youth ministry facilities.
- Community Outreach
- Community Engagement: Participating in community events and initiatives.
- Mission Trips: Organizing and leading (or having youth being involved with) at least one
mission trip to year.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Exhibits a strong Christian faith and a passion for working with youth.
• Experience in youth ministry or a related field.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with youth, parents, and volunteers.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to undergo child protection training and background checks.
