Worship Leader

Job Description:

We are a multi-ethnic church with healthy age diversity as well. We meet in a school, setting up and tearing down on a weekly basis. Our strong team of ministry leaders are committed to one another and God’s dream of reaching people for Jesus. Lives continue to change through intentional discipleship with dozens baptisms in the last few years. And best of all, we are cultivating leaders to lead ministries and small groups that are on mission to help people find their way back to God.

Our current Worship leader has taken great strides with our worship ministry. Among other things, we have implemented the use of tracks and have seen incredible growth with our worship experience on Sundays. As our current Worship Leader transitions to focus on other ministries within our church, we are looking for someone to take the baton and run with the momentum that our team has. We seek to add a worship leader whose experience will enable him/her to continue elevating our worship team. This person would possess strong character, love Jesus, have a high musical competency, a tremendous voice, as well as the ability to use technology, and work well with others.

Sunday Attendance: 80+ and growing!

Pay: $1100 to $1600 per month

Expectations:

Select the music for each worship experience (along with appropriate tracks)
Schedule the team and provide the order of worship and song sheets (we use Planning Center/SongSelect)
Plan worship experiences that accentuate the weekly theme/scripture
Work with A/V team to produce quality worship experiences
Know and adhere to copyright laws
Participate in one of our LifeGroups during the week

Time Commitment: 10 to 15 hours each week

Band practice: 2 hours per week
Personal preparation: 2.5 to 5 hours per week
Connect with the Lead Pastor: 0.5 hour per week
Connect with Band Members: 0.5 to 3 hours per week
Sunday Mornings/worship services 4 hours per week
Staff meeting: 2 hours per month

One must have been committed to a local church over the last year and ready to fully commit to LaunchPoint as their home church. Is this true for you?
One must have at least 1 year of experience leading a full worship band. Is this true for you?
One must provide video links of leading a band in worship. Can you do this?
