Campus Outreach Minister
Gulf Coast Community Church is seeking a College Outreach Minister to serve at USF St. Petersburg through their campus ministry, CoMission. This role is for a dedicated individual who will disciple students, equip them for ministry, and mobilize them for gospel outreach.
Job Description
Responsibilities:
Serve as a full-time disciple-maker on campus.
Build relationships with students, particularly those far from God.
Provide leadership, oversight, and discipleship for CoMission students.
Develop and implement a personal and team ministry strategy each semester.
Train and empower students to be disciple-making missionaries.
Organize events, retreats, and mission trips.
Identify and develop student leaders.
Facilitate students’ engagement with the local church.
Maintain a detailed database of student contacts.
Raise financial support for ministry, with training and assistance from the church.
Requirements:
A passionate disciple of Jesus with a heart for college ministry.
A self-starter who is adaptive, humble, and innovative.
Strong team player with a vision for ministry growth.
Committed to a church-based campus ministry philosophy.
Willing to raise financial support (training provided).
Hours & Compensation:
45 hours/week, including evenings and weekends.
$36,000/year starting salary (includes a base commitment of $12,000 from GCCC).
Must raise additional support (training and network provided).
Housing assistance available.
No group medical/retirement plan, but individualized support options are provided.
