Associate Pastor

Community Baptist Church of North Pole, a Conservative Baptist church in Interior Alaska, is hiring a full-time associate pastor. If you are a dynamic, relational pastor, dedicated to rightly sharing the Word of God, we invite you to consider joining our church family.

Qualifications:

·         Prior experience in ministry

·         Effective communication and interpersonal skills

·         Able to preach and teach

·         Feel the call of God to serve in the role of Associate Pastor/ministry in Alaska

Responsibilities:

The associate pastor will have tasks that align with his particular gifting.  These duties may include:

·         Filling the pulpit as requested by the senior pastor

·         Provide pastoral care and counseling, as needed

·         Work closely with the senior pastor, helping meet the needs of the church body and working toward the healthy growth of the church

·         Collaborate with staff and volunteers to ensure smooth operation of church ministries

·         Work closely with children’s and youth leaders, overseeing those ministries

·         Help in small groups and men’s ministry

·         Show hospitality in some way to connect with church families, particularly younger families

·         Be active members of the church

The ideal candidate will be married with a wife engaged in ministry with him, have some prior experience in Alaska or a remote location, and with a love for the church body.
